TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival & Coastal Introduction

Arrival: Land at Bandaranaike International Airport and transfer to Negombo.

Highlights: Visit the Lellama Fish Market to see traditional fishing life. Relax by the beach after your flight.

Stay: Negombo.

Tour: Head to Colombo for a city tour. Visit Independence Square, the Gangaramaya Temple, and the historic Dutch Hospital.

Stay: Colombo.

Transfer: Drive north to Anuradhapura (approx. 4 hours).

Highlights: Visit Mihintale Rock, considered the cradle of Buddhism in Sri Lanka.

Stay: Anuradhapura.

Ruins: Explore the UNESCO-listed ancient city, including the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi (the world’s oldest documented tree) and

massive stupas like Ruwanwelisaya.

Stay: Anuradhapura.

Transfer: Move to the Sigiriya area.

Highlights: Climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a 5th-century citadel with world-famous frescoes and water gardens. In the evening,

visit the Dambulla Cave Temples, which house over 150 Buddha statues.

Stay: Sigiriya or Habarana.

Ruins: Tour the medieval capital, Polonnaruwa. Rent bicycles to explore the Gal Vihara (giant rock-cut Buddhas) and the Royal

Palace ruins.

Stay: Sigiriya.

En Route: Drive to Kandy, stopping at a Matale Spice Garden to learn about Sri Lanka’s agricultural heritage.

Evening: Watch a Kandyan Cultural Dance performance.

Stay: Kandy.

Highlights: Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (Dalada Maligawa), Buddhism’s holiest shrine in Sri Lanka. Stroll through

the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens.

Stay: Kandy.

Transfer: Transfer to Nuwara Eliya through misty tea plantations.

Highlights: Visit a Tea Factory to see how “Ceylon Tea” is produced. Explore the colonial-era Nuwara Eliya Post Office and

Gregory Lake.

Stay: Nuwara Eliya.

Transfer: Drive south to the historic city of Galle.

Highlights: Walk the ramparts of the Galle Dutch Fort, a living UNESCO World Heritage site with colonial villas and historic

churches.

Stay: Galle.

Morning: Enjoy a final breakfast and a last stroll through Galle’s boutiques or the nearby Turtle Hatchery.

Departure: Transfer back to the airport for your flight.

• 60 to 45 days prior to arrival date – 30% of the full price (excluding weekends and international holidays)

• Less than 44 days prior to arrival date – 100% of the full price

• No Shows and Early Departure – 100% of the full price
